The Mozambican entrepreneurship ecosystem is in its early stages. Despite the potential of entrepreneurship as a driver for job creation and sustainable, inclusive development, there is a lack of a favourable ecosystem (investment culture, supporting structures, specific legal framework, effective policies and fiscal incentives) for nourishing and supporting start-ups and SMEs.

In particular, there is a complete absence of adequate, reasonably-priced financing – dynamic investment markets, tailor-made investment vehicles/instruments and lean investment processes – catering for early-stage companies, preventing these companies from emerging growing and thriving.

AMBA aims to provide selected entrepreneurs with access to alternative forms of financing their early stage ventures.
AMBA has a transformative impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem with a methodology built on its three pillars of advocating for, brokering, and facilitating private investment.
